Throughout my adolescence and early adulthood, my skin was the primary source of concern and insecurity for me. I was constantly embarrassed by the breakouts I would experience on my face, back, and neck. Whether it was hormonal issues, nutritional deficiencies, or a lack of product knowledge I was at a loss and willing to try anything. Even though I was always in and out of the dermatologist’s office, guinea pigging the latest products, I still held out hope that someday I would discover something that would miraculously help my skin and finally allow it to glow. As an outgoing introvert, I understood the importance of the first impression and even though my insides were soft, sweet, and beautiful, my exterior did not reflect that. As a result, I became much more reserved.
Having spent many years researching and discovering the best methods for maintaining healthy skin, coupled with my own personal experiences with skin and the loss of confidence it can cause. All have led me to become passionate about assisting others on their journey to better skin. In the last few years, I have gained a great deal of knowledge from college courses and Aveda’s Aesthetician program. One of my greatest contributions to healthy skin has been developing an understanding of how different components of the body all contribute to the largest organ in the body. As a matter of fact, I am still learning, but wish to share my knowledge along my academic journey with you. Let’s GLOW!
